I'm in a good mood
a lazy, but happy mood
I should go read my book..
I do not recommend this book at all lol... I don't really like the writing style and it is very depressing and frustrating. These people are all so hopeless, they are discriminated against and un-supportive of each other. It's like they have become racist against themselves. They hold onto their culture, chastise and blame everything on 'the white man', and at the same time are trying to get away from their culture. So in the end they just become nothing; hollow and hopeless, then they drink and lose even more. Just a viscous cycle; a sad, sad, very sad cycle of them fighting against being themselves (fuck off, I know it's tacky ). I'm not saying at all that they should grovel and beg for whity's assistance. They should be strong, that's all. Hate brings nothing but impedition, pointing fingers at shadows does nothing but make any situation hopeless. What happened the Native Americans was horrible, and the discrimination and ridicule that continues is also unforgivable; but, there is always something. You can drink and you can cry and you can tell yourself that you are all alone, but if you're going to do this for the rest of your life you might as well just kill yourself. Everyone is human, no matter what color or class. Everyone is wary of new things and new ideas, and transitions are not always smooth. Time heals all wounds, though, and whatever effort was made would make the path just a little bit easier for future generations. You can't hang onto the past like it's the only thing keeping you alive, especially if it is so damn debilitating.
It's not right to forget it, though. Just cope with it, that's all. Not like it's easy, I know... but I don't know because I'm not living in any of their shoes and I've never walked anywhere in them so I don't really have a clear idea of how they think. I have some insight, though, and I also figure that everything pretty much works the same but just to different degrees.
I am sorry if your read all that lol... it's pretty useless lol
